8! 8! 8! 8! 8!

I can't believe that Nolan is 8 today. 8! EIGHT! VIII! Ocho! He can't be that big. He wasn't even 4 when I started the blog. It just can't be.

But, since he insists it's true, we had a celebration for him. He invited some friends over and Dave picked them up from school. They headed to Adventure Rock for some rock wall climbing, and then out to pizza. Afterwards, the boys all came over. Two went home around 10, and two stayed over night. Boy sleepovers are a little... crazy. Abby and friends play games, sing karaoke or Just Dance, do nails. Nolan and friends wrestle, play guns, are LOUD! But I know Nolan loved it, and had a great time, which made it all worth it.

Hi Payton! Keep on climbing!
See that little bit of blue WAY UP THERE? That would be Nolan.
 Abby, not to be outdone.
 Go Elijah!
A little bit of perspective on exactly how high they were.
 It's like Spiderman!

Max was all about it, too.
 Don't forget Nick!

We just had "regular" cake for First Communion, so Nolan opted for an ice cream cake from DQ. With a little bit of an odd hockey player on it.
Make a wish! And there's Kyan in the background. Unfortunately he couldn't go climbing with the boys, but he came over to spend the night. They are certainly best buds, and what better way to get their birthdays started than to say happy birthday to each other first thing in the morning? (Kyan is four hours older... they are both very aware of that!)
 The boys...
With Max, who desperately wanted to be a part of the group.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE MAN! May all your dreams come true!
