#4

We are really just starting an amazing journey of things that we'll go through four times. We've taken a nuk away potty trained four times. Soon we will have four first days of school, and four kids who learned to read. Today, we have four kids who learned to ride bikes without training wheels! Ava is a speed demon... Go Ava go!

God Bless, Erin!

Another First Communion! We've had several in a row and it was Erin's turn.

Had to get a picture of my sister, my mom and me.
Grumpy looks thrilled!
Nolan was missing... he had a birthday party.
Silly kids!

Happy Mother's Day!

I can't not talk about the fantastic Mother's Day week I had. First, Alina did a Happy Mother's Day celebration and brought all the kids to my work. We had lunch, took a tour of the campus, had ice cream, rode the elevator, everything!

On Mother's Day, Nolan had a tournament in Columbus and they won! It was a fun day, until it started raining. Fortunately it was at the end of the day, and they were already champions.
The team... and the moms who support them!

End of an era

I have worked at Direct Supply for 12 years. I was pregnant with Abby when I started working there, and now she'll be in 7th grade. And this week I let them know that I am leaving. My last day will be July 1, and I will become a Kohler employee officially on July 7. It truly wasn't a hard decision. The opportunity seemed perfect. It's the HR Manager for Supply Chain and Operations Support. It supports about 1000 people globally, so will also have some global travel. I was concerned about the drive, so they are letting me work from home one day a week, and gave me relocation benefits. There's a pension plan, a signing bonus, a guarantee of 150% on my bonus. How could I say no? Direct Supply was disappointed, but understood. I got a lot of hugs from all of the execs I support, which made me feel really, really good. It's crazy!!

Another era ending? Having a 6th grader, a 4th grader, a 1st grader and a preschooler. We now have a 7th grader, a 5th grader, a 2nd grader and a kindergartner. All kids will be in school! Also crazy! I'm proud of all of them very much, but I think I'm most proud of Max. He worked so hard on his reading this year, and was 4 levels behind going in. By the end of the year, he was AT LEVEL. That's so awesome! He rocked it!

Happy Birthday, Alina!

Alina's sister threw her a surprise birthday party last week, and we had such fun. Ava was too excited that we were going to Alina's and I was staying there the whole time! It was a gorgeous day, and we just hung out and relaxed. Here's the back of Alina's cute house...
And a far away picture of her nature center. The girls read books in there, have aquariums of various bugs and fauna, and do all sorts of random things.
There were several boat rides going on. I had Buca there so I stayed largely with him. I kept throwing sticks in the water and he kept jumping in the shallow end and swimming out to get them. He was exhausted! But at the end of the night, the six of us took a boat ride together. A beautiful sunset!

And fun times!

This summer Ava will be at Alina's full time, Max for three days a week, and Abby some days. Lake living... can't go wrong!

Alina--Happiest of happy birthdays! And thank you for all you do for us!
